TWO CHARGES: A citizen notified police Aug. 3 of an intoxicated driver. Police located the man, 25, and placed him in custody for driving under the influence. He also was charged with reckless endangerment because he had his 4-year-old son in the vehicle with him. He was issued criminal citations and later released without incident.

SUICIDAL: Police were dispatched Aug. 3 to a River Avenue location where a woman had sent text messages threatening suicide. As part of an involuntary commitment, medical personnel transported her to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw  to speak with a mental health professional.

ENUMCLAW ASSIST: While in Enumclaw to get fuel for a vehicle, a Buckley officer observed a vehicle traveling in the darkness without headlights. The officer stopped the vehicle and found the female driver could not produce proof of insurance; it was also determined her license had been suspended due to unpaid traffic tickets. The incident was turned over to an Enumclaw officer.

TOO DRUNK: An unknown man was seen attempting to enter an A Street apartment at 3:11 a.m. Aug. 2. When police arrived they found the man passed out in a flower bed. When police could not wake the man, medical assistance was sought. The man was transported to a local hospital due to extreme intoxication.

DOMESTIC SITUATION: Police were dispatched at 6:44 p.m. Aug. 1 to a Whitehouse Avenue residence following a report of a domestic assault. Officers took information from the victim and a witness and later located a suspect. The suspect was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault.

DRIVER CITED: Police responded the afternoon of July 31 to a two-car collision at state Route 410 and Mundy Loss Road. The at-fault driver was cited for following too close.
