Cascade Regional Blood Services has scheduled eight July blood drives in Bonney Lake and Sumner.

The organization’s mobile blood station will be parked at Columbia Bank in Bonney Lake from 1 to 6 p.m. every Friday in July: July 5, July 12, July 19 and July 26.

Columbia Bank is located at 19925 state Route 410.

Cascade will park at Fred Meyer in Sumner on Saturday, July 6 from 12 to 4 p.m. The mobile blood unit will also make a presence at Sumner Rhubarb Days and Relay For Life. The unit will be parked at Rhubarb Days on July 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will park at Sunset Stadium from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. for Relay For Life.

On July 31, the unit will be at the Cedar Ridge Retirement and Assisted Living Community from 3 to 6 p.m.

Cedar Ridge is located at 9515 198th Avenue East in Bonney Lake.

4.5 million Americans would die each year without blood transfusions and someone needs blood every three seconds, according to Brookhaven National Laboratory, home of the U.S. government’s Office of Science.
