Juvenile shoplifting | Enumclaw police blotter

Police responded at 1:38 a.m. March 31 to a Monroe Avenue business after being told of a shoplifting incident. Two were taken into custody – an adult for criminal trespass and a juvenile for theft. The stolen items were returned to the store. The juvenile was released to a parent while the adult was booked into jail.

ASSAULT ALLEGED: After hearing of an assault that occurred just before midnight April 2 in the vicinity of Griffin Avenue and Florence Street, police responded and found the suspect had already departed. A victim was treated by medical personnel, then arrested on an outstanding warrant. The individual was transferred to Kent authorities. The case was to be forwarded to the city prosecutor for review.

NO CONTACT: Police investigated a report of a court order violation April 2 at a Wilson Avenue address. The violation was confirmed and the respondent was to receive a citation through the mail.

HIT AND RUN: Police were told the morning of April 2 of a hit-and-run incident that had just occurred. The suspect vehicle was said to be heading west on Griffin Avenue and was soon located. An officer contacted the driver, then connected both parties so they could handle the situation.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A report was issued the morning of April 2 regarding a possible instance of domestic violence occurring in a Griffin Avenue parking lot. Officers responded, arrested and booked one person for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.
