Dieringer Heights 2011 Kindergarten Registration

Early Childhood Registration will be held at Dieringer Heights Elementary on March 30. At that time Dieringer staff will share important information regarding program options for next year and collect completed registration paperwork. If you wish to register a child for K-2 (Pre-Kindergarten), Kindergarten, or Pre-first, call the office at 253-826-4937.

School officials ask parents to share information with any of their friends who have children ready to enter school next year.

Sumner School District Kindergarten registration

Sumner School District will hold its kindergarten registration from Feb. 28 to March 4.

All children enrolling in kindergarten for the 2011-12 school year must be five years old by Aug. 31. When registering a child for school, families should bring: proof of child’s birth date (birth or hospital certificate, passport); immunization information and child’s health history; and names and phone numbers of parents, physician and emergency contact when the parent/guardian cannot be reached.

Families should contact their neighbors on Feb. 21, or download a packet from the District Web site at www.sumnersd.org.

Elementary schools will accept completed registration packets beginning Feb. 28.

Some elementary schools offer a tuitioned, full-time program on a space available basis for children who qualify.

Full-time kindergarten students attend school every day and have the same school calendar as students in grades 1-5. Students enrolled in full-time kindergarten receive extra instruction time to learn basic skills for first grade. All children enrolled in the full-time program must qualify through participation in a screening process held later in the spring.

Monthly full-time kindergarten tuition for the 2011-12 school year is $325.
