Local authors will discuss self-publishing during a free event at Sumner Pierce County Library, 1116 Fryar Ave., on Friday, Jan. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The discussion will help people will learn about getting books into print, through personal experiences of three local authors.
Ilene Little, former journalist and author of “How to Plan a Successful Medical Tourism Trip,” has a background in patient advocacy and tourism.
Florence Petheram’s latest book, “Magic is for When You Need It,” tells the story of a young girl who learns about herself during a summer on a ranch.
Helena Poortvliet, artist and writer, created the characters in her book, “The Black Horse of God,” based on extensive historical research.
