Express booths to drop off Pierce County ballots for the Feb. 9 special election will open this Friday in two locations. The booths will be open from Feb. 5 to Feb. 9, 7a.m. to 8 p.m.

The upcoming special election is a vote-by-mail only election, so no polling places will be open. The express booths will allow voters to submit their ballot without postage.

The booths will be located at the Fred Meyer’s stores in Bonney Lake and Sumner. The Bonney Lake store is located at 20901 on state Route 410. The Sumner store is located on 1201 Valley Ave.

Issues on the ballot will include levies for Sumner and Dieringer school districts and a resolution concerning a merger of Pierce County Fire Portection District Nos. 8 and 22.
