Man drowns at Nolte

A man drowned at Nolte State Park last week.

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Aleksandr Petrovich Karpuk, 52, died on June 20.

Kiro 7 reported a swimmer brought Karpuk to shore to perform CPR until medics arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

These two images show different marijuana retail zoning regulations Black Diamond councilmembers could adopt and how it could affect where those retailers could operate within the city. The red area represents where retailers can operate, and the black where marijuana producers and processors could set up. The dark green are places like schools and playgrounds (mandatory 1,000 foot barrier). The light green areas are mostly open space like Lake Sawyer Park and the Black Diamond Open Space, but also playgrounds and the community center.
