Middle school student arrested | Buckley Police

Police responded Sept. 23 to Glacier Middle School after a student was caught with drugs and drug paraphernalia.

STUDENT ARRESTED: Police responded Sept. 23 to Glacier Middle School after a student was caught with drugs and drug paraphernalia. A 14-year-old boy was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia; it also was determined he had stolen school property from the science room. The boy was interviewed, arrested and later released to  his father.

CYCLE SWIPED: A Ryan Road resident contacted police at 11 p.m. Sept. 23, reporting a motorcycle had been stolen from a garage.

RAINIER ASSAULT: Officers were dispatched the morning of Sept. 22 to Rainier School after hearing an employee assaulted a client. It was determined a female staff member struck a client. She provided a statement, as did two witnesses. She was later issued a criminal citation through Buckley Municipal Court.

DRUG OFFENSE: Officers contacted a man the morning of Sept. 21 at a state Route 410 address. It was determined he was wanted on a Bonney Lake arrest warrant and he was taken into custody. During a search, he was found to be in possession of a round tablet, which was identified as a Schedule II prescription drug. He was cited and released for possession of a legend drug.

TWO-CAR CRASH: While on patrol the afternoon of Sept. 19, an officer came across a collision involving two vehicles. Neither driver was hurt and neither vehicle required a tow. Both drivers received infractions for various traffic violations related to the wreck.

TWO WARRANTS: Police conducted a traffic stop at 10:47 p.m. Sept. 17 on Ryan Road. The driver, a Buckley man, was driving with a suspended license; also, it was determined he was wanted on two arrest warrants. He was taken into custody, issued a criminal citation and booked into jail.
