A Phillips Avenue resident called police the morning of Aug. 7, reporting a possible theft of a cat.

CAT ISSUE: A Phillips Avenue resident called police the morning of Aug. 7, reporting a possible theft of a cat. It was the owner’s second cat to go missing in the past four months and the owner suspects a neighbor could be to blame. Police were to follow up with the neighbor.

DOG TROUBLE: An officer responded the morning of Aug. 6 to a Harding Street address due to a dog running loose. The owner was contacted; he was working on getting a fence repaired and had already received bids to have the work done.

FIREARMS TAKEN: A city resident contacted police Aug. 6, reporting a firearm had been stolen from a safe during the past six months. On Aug. 8, police contacted a Charwila Lane resident was said firearms had been taken from her home while she was away. Both instances were recorded into state and national databases.

RUNAWAY RETRIEVED: A city parent notified police Aug. 6 after her daughter ran off without permission. The daughter was located by an officer and returned home.
