The Prairie Ridge Community Coalition will be holding a meeting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 13 at the Prairie Ridge Community Service Center.

Guest speaker Jerri Kelly, transportation program specialist from Pierce County Community Connections, will be speaking at the meeting.

Kelly will be helping the coalition to develop a new pilot program that would serve folks in the Bonney Lake and Buckley area.  This program would be for essential rides for food, clothing, energy and rental assistance, etc. Input is greatly needed to develop a program that serves low-income families with transportation needs.

Jerri will also share their “Demand Service” program that is currently available to low income East Pierce residents, including youth, which provides transportation to get to work, work training, or dialysis.
