The annual National Night Out family picnic and event for the community of Prairie Ridge is Tuesday, August 5 starting at 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall and Park.

This year’s theme is sports, so wear your team spirit wear proudly.

A free picnic-style dinner will be served beginning at 6 p.m.

Funballz NW will have a fantastic arena set up to play soccer the Funballz way (thanks to a contribution from Molen Orthodontics).  Kaizen Shotokan Karate will be doing a demonstration at 7 p.m.

East Pierce Fire & Rescue will be bringing the Children’s Safety House, Fabulous Faces will be doing facepainting and there will be activities for kids, snow cones and more.

This event helps the community get to know everyone and work together on community safety.
