Tour de Lights set Monday
Fleet Feet Bonney Lake will present the Tour de Lights, a free 5K fun run beginning at 7 p.m. Monday.
The run will begin and start at the Bonney Lake Park and Ride at the corner of 184th Avenue and state Route 410.
During the event, runners will tour the decorated neighborhoods of Bonney Lake. All runners are asked to bring one nonperishable food item to be donated to the Bonney Lake Food Bank.
Following the run, hot cocoa and cookies will be served.
School presenting Christmas play
The Apostolic Christian Training School, a private school in Sumner, will present “The Next Noel” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the First Pentecostal Church in Sumner.
The public is invited to attend this special production with a message for the holidays.

Church announces holiday services
Christ the King Lutheran Church of Sumner has announced the times and dates for holiday services this month.
The church will host a Christmas Eve worship service at 6 and 11 p.m. Dec. 24. The 6 p.m. service is designed for families with carols, candlelight and communion. The 11 p.m. service is more traditional, but still includes carols, candlelight and communion.
The church is at 245 Valley Ave. E.
Craft workshops
set for children
Children will create and celebrate with free events at Pierce County Library System.
Marionettes perform with puppets in-the-round variety show at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bonney Lake Library, 18501 90th St. E.; 3:30 p.m. at the Buckley Library, 123 S. River Ave., and 2 p.m. at the Sumner Library, 1116 Fryar Ave.
Friends of the Libraries sponsor these free programs.
Longest Night Service is Monday
In a cooperative effort between Christ the King Lutheran Church, First Christian Church and Sumner United Methodist Church, the “Longest Night Service” will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at Sumner United Methodist, 901 Wood Ave.
A joint choir of the churches will sing and light candles in remembrance of those who died during the last year. Communion will be serviced during the service.
