East Pierce hosts trio of egg hunts

East Pierce Fire and Rescue firefighters will sponsor three annual Easter Egg Hunts April 3. All three are free.

The 20th annual Sumner Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by East Pierce Professional Fire Fighters Local 3520, will be held at Sunset Stadium, 1707 Main St. Children ages 1 to 3 will be allowed on the field at 9 a.m. followed by the 4- to 6-year-olds at 10 a.m., the 7- to 9-year-olds at 11 a.m. and the 10- to 12-year-olds at noon.

Join the East Pierce Volunteer Firefighters’ Association for the 53rd annual South Prairie Easter Egg Hunt. The free event starts at 10 a.m. at the South Prairie City Park located at Third and Tacoma streets.

The annual Edgewood Easter Egg Hunt, also sponsored by Local 3520, starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday April 3 at Edgemont Park, located adjacent to Edgemont Junior High School at 24th Street East and 110th Avenue East.

BL Senior Center gets crafty

The Bonney Lake Senior Center will start a new event – a craft sale.

Center staff encourages seniors who make crafts to bring them to sell on the first or second Friday of each month.

The dates are April 9, May 14, June 4, July 9, August 6, Sept. 10, Oct. 1, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3.

Items include framed watercolors, air brushed ceramics, fine crochet doilies and products and hand-carved walking sticks.

Craft vendors who want to sign up ahead of time can call 253-863-7658 to reserve a spot.
