SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: A patrolling officer spotted a suspicious vehicle at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the vicinity of 244th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 436th Way. The officer contacted a person who was attempting to mount a camera to a power pole, an effort to monitor an “anti-levy” sign at a nearby corner. The person was advised the pole was the property of Puget Sound Energy and nothing could be attached to it.
ANIMAL ISSUE: Police were told Sept. 6 of an aggressive dog running loose in the Hawk Court neighborhood. The owner picked up the dog, which had been the subject of previous reports to King County Animal Control. The owner noted she no longer wanted the dog, so KCAC was contacted to take possession of the animal.
METAL THEFT: The theft of scrap metal from a Griffin AVenue location was reported the afternoon of Sept. 6. A man had been spotted putting metal into a Chevrolet pickup before leaving westbound from the scene. The property owner asked for addition police patrol.
ASSAULT: Police responded the evening of Sept. 6 to the third floor of a Griffin Avenue hotel, where a woman had assaulted a female tenant. Medical assistance was requested for the victim, who declined to press charges. The suspect was ordered to stay away from the building.
RIDE HOME: A St. Elizabeth Hospital employee alerted police at 11 p.m. Sept. 6 after a highly-intoxicated subject departed the emergency room on foot. An officer located the subject and provided a courtesy ride to Buckley.
