Dean and Jane Barkus of Enumclaw will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 25, 2012, at their home.

Both grew up in Enumclaw and they remain in the house they built in 1968. They spend their retirement with various hobbies, traveling and enjoying their grandsons.

Hosting the anniversary open house will be the couple’s children, Brian Barkus, Tony Barkus and Lisa Perry. The celebration will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and is open to friends and relatives. It is asked that no gifts be provided.
