• Officers responded to the scene of a domestic dispute at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 7700 block of 191st Avenue East. A 59-year-old man told officers his 21-year-old son was distraught because his 19-year-old girlfriend broke up with him. The father said the son had threatened to break the legs of her new boyfriend. The father said his son didn’t threaten to harm himself and had left the residence. The officer contacted the girlfriend. She said she did not have a new boyfriend and the idea was in the son’s head. The woman told officers she was afraid of the son and he had a pistol. The woman was advised to obtain a restraining order against the man.
Worries about how high the shopping fever would reach in the Bonney Lake area were settled by big crowds and better than expected sales in the city’s big three stores – Target, Fred Meyer and Wal-Mart.
