The Pierce County Council will hold upcoming meetings in Lakebay, Puyallup and Spanaway as part of its practice of taking government on the road.

The Council, which normally meets Tuesdays in its chambers in the County-City Building in downtown Tacoma, holds at least one meeting a year in each of the seven Council districts, as required by the Pierce County Charter.

Here are the upcoming “in-district” meetings:

April 24:

6 p.m., Key Peninsula Middle School, Commons Area, 5510 Key Peninsula Highway KPN, Lakebay

This meeting will be hosted by District 7 Councilmember Stan Flemming.

May 15:

6 p.m., Thun Field Fire Station Meeting Room, 17210 110th Ave. E, Puyallup.

This meeting will be hosted by District 1 Councilmember Dan Roach.

May 22:

6 p.m., Sprinker Recreation Center, Rainier Room, 14824 South C St., Tacoma (Spanaway).

This meeting will be hosted by District 6 Councilmember Dick Muri.

The Council held its Feb. 29 meeting in Frederickson (District 3). Meetings for the remaining three districts will be announced as dates are confirmed.
