During the spring and summer, the Pierce County Master Gardeners provide a series of free events on a bi-weekly basis for children and their families to furnish a fun introduction to the joys of the garden and the basics of gardening.
Here is information about the next free event scheduled for June 18:
“June 18, Free – Children’s program “Peter Rabbit’s Garden” sponsored by Pierce County Master Gardeners. Children will hear the story of Peter Rabbit, plant a traditional vegetable garden for Peter and his friends, receive a visit from Farmer McGregor, and make stepping stones to take home. All materials provided. Program starts promptly at 1:00 P.M.
Venue: The Pierce County Master Gardener’s Jack and the Beanstalk Garden is located in Puyallup where Fruitland Ave. meets Pioneer. That is 2607 Pioneer.
