The state Medical Commission lifted a summary restriction on the license of Tacoma physician John Frederick Gillman (MD60265170) on November 5, placed him on probation for at least three years, and upheld other license restrictions.
The commission restricted Gillman’s license in July, following charges of sexual misconduct. He admitted to having a sexual relationship with a female patient over the course of several months. While on probation, Gillman must complete a boundaries/ethics course, have a female chaperone present when treating female patients, maintain a patient log after each appointment, complete a multidisciplinary evaluation, and meet other requirements to protect patients and the public.
The statement of charges, summary action order and agreed order on this case are available by clicking the link to “Provider Credential Search” on the Department of Health website; copies can also be requested by calling 360-236-4700.
