• We have power outages system wide with the storm starting in Thurston and Pierce counties and moving north. Strong winds are expected through the night with the high wind warning in effect until 11 p.m.

• Safety is our top priority. Crews will be dispatched as long as conditions allow. Continued high winds will slow and possibly stop response and restoration efforts.

• We have called in crews from outside our service area. Eighteen crews are still here from the storm late last week and 10 more crews are on their way.

• Our first step in restoring power is damage assessment: getting a look at what’s been done to the system and determining the extent of repairs that are needed. The process takes time, especially if weather remains an issue.
