In the next 20 years, it is estimated that Sumner will welcome 3,120 more people, 10,280 more jobs and 1,814 more housing units. Where do they go? How should that look? How does Sumner plan for its growth and take into account transportation, environment & parks, capital facilities and economic development?
These are the questions that the updated Comprehensive Plan will answer. You helped when you filled out your surveys last year, telling us things like what you thought were the most important issues facing Sumner and what you thought should be added to Sumner. As the process continues, there’s still more you can do. The first draft of the updated plan is available online for you to review – click here to begin. (Scroll to the bottom of the page for the online drafts.)
Submit your comments on the draft to the City by April 24th. You can also attend the Planning Commission meeting on March 19th to learn more about this in person.
