Plateau students earn degrees, make college honor rolls

The following Plateau students earned degrees from Central Washington University upon completion of the spring term.

The following Plateau students were named to the spring term honor roll at Central Washington University. To qualify, students had to earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better while carrying at least 12 graded quarter hours.

Buckley: Jennifer Papenbrock, Daniel Riel, Samantha Long, Jacob Estabrook, Sarah Root, Jeremy Hoffman, Jessica McAdams, Grady Johnson, Elise Gregg, Lauren Mix and Renee Woods.

Enumclaw: Brady VanHoof, Kaiah Pierce, Tyler Wieland, Chris Christensen, Lindsey Henderson, Jon Bathum, Michelle Greenwood, Laura Hedlund, Nicholas Pierce, Nicole Maves and William Doyle.

Western Washington University student Christina Siewert, daughter of Shelly Siewert of Buckley, received a $1,200 Corinne Werder Special Education Scholarship and a $2,000 Florine A. Wheeler Scholarship for the 2010-11 academic year.

The Corinne Werder Special Education Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated academic performance in the Special Education major. The Florine A. Wheeler Scholarship is awarded to students planning to teach in a general elementary classroom who demonstrate academic excellence.

Siewert has earned a 3.92 grade-point average. She is planning to graduate in fall 2012 with a degree in special education and elementary education.

Enumclaw resident Jessica J. Kinney recently graduated from Utica College with a master’s degree in business administration, specializing in economic crime and fraud management.
