Enumclaw

BUCKLEY ASSIST

• Enumclaw police were contacted twice, at 2:46 and 3:38 a.m., Thursday to assist the Buckley Police Department with domestic disputes.

DRUG CHARGE

• Police arrested one person Thursday morning at an Enumclaw School District school on a drug charge.

JUVENILE TROUBLE

• Police responded to the area of Enumclaw High School Thursday afternoon after learning of a couple of teenage boys smoking, yelling obscenities and “flipping off” people in the area. Police checked the area and, because school had just been dismissed, there were many young people matching the description of the suspects and none were contacted.

DISTURBANCE

• Police were alerted the morning of Jan. 27 to a man who parked on Battersby Avenue and was yelling at children inside his vehicle. An officer made contact and found a parent upset about a mess made inside the car.

FORGERY

• A prescription forgery was reported the morning of Jan. 27. Police took one suspect into custody.

CONCERN FOR KIDS

• Police were asked Jan. 27 to check on the welfare of two children. They had not attended school for several days and no one was answering the phone. Officers found the children were fine.

BURGLARY

• A Griffin Avenue resident told police Jan. 27 that someone had entered his room and taken the contents of a bottle of prescription medication. The door had been left unlocked.

THEFT FROM AUTO

• A Watson Street resident reported Jan. 27 that someone had taken items from a vehicle the night before.

DRUG CHARGE

• A Jan. 26 traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue resulted in the male driver being arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger was released.

ANIMAL TROUBLE

• Police were told the morning of Jan. 26 of loose dogs acting aggressively toward people walking on Wilson Avenue. The dogs’ owner was not at home. King County Animal Control responded and took possession of two dogs.

FOOD HEIST

• A Watson Street resident reported Jan. 26 groceries had been stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in front of the victim’s apartment. A neighbor witnessed the theft and was able to identify the suspects, who live in the same complex. An officer contacted everyone involved and arrested a man and a woman.

WEAPON OFFENSE

• Police received a call the morning of Jan. 25 from a Semanski Street address requesting that an officer respond to a situation involving a weapon. Police met with a juvenile and a parent. It was agreed there would be no charges filed and the matter would be handled internally.

DRUG OFFENSE

• A student was taken into custody the afternoon of Jan. 25, taken into custody and booked on drug charges.

WINDOWS SMASHED

• Police received three reports Jan. 25 of automobile windows being smashed. The incidents occurred on Clovercrest Street, McKinley Street and Division Street. In each case, nothing was taken.

• Police received two reports Jan. 23 of automobile windows being smashed. The incidents occurred on Washington Avenue and Rainier Avenue.

ARREST WARRANT

• A man was taken into custody at the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Lafromboise Street Jan. 24 when it was learned he was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant issued from Missouri. The original charges were child neglect and failure to pay child support.

Buckley

FELONY WARRANT

• At 2:09 a.m. Jan. 26, an officer contacted a 27-year-old male at the corner of Hackman Street and Whitehouse Avenue, regarding a possible felony arrest warrant. The male was identified as the subject with the warrant and he was taken into custody.

AGENCY ASSIST

• At 10:56 p.m. Jan. 26, Covington police requested Buckley officers to locate and detain a 23-year-old male suspect that allegedly made verbal threats involving a weapon to a female living in the Covington area. The suspect was located at his Balm Avenue residence and detained.

LICENSE SUSPENDED

• At 2:12 a.m. Jan. 28, an officer observed a vehicle driving without a front license plate in the 29200 block of state Route 410. The officer stopped the vehicle and routinely ran it through dispatch, which advised the officer the driver was driving with a suspended license. The officer issued the driver a notice of infraction and criminal citation and released him.

FIGHT

• At 2 a.m. Sunday, office were dispatched to the 29200 block of SR 410 for a reported fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 23-year-old and a 28-year-old male, both involved in the altercation. The younger man had been punched in the face by the older man and was bleeding from the lip. He declined medical aid and the option to press charges. The older man said he acted in self defense.
