DOMESTIC

• A officer spotted a vehicle on Jan. 5 belonging to a suspect in an earlier case of domestic violence. A traffic stop was made, the man was arrested for domestic violence/assault and his vehicle was impounded.

SUSPICIOUS STUFF

• A Jan. 5 traffic stop resulted in a driver and passenger investigated for drug violations. A small amount of “vegetable matter” was located, confiscated and destroyed. No further action was taken.

BURGLARY

• The burglary of a Washington Avenue business was reported the morning of Jan. 6. There was approximately $150 in damage due to the forced entry. At the time of the report, it was unknown if anything had been taken.

RIFLE FOUND

• A Wells Street resident found a rifle under the home. The firearm, missing parts that make it functional, was taken and slated for destruction. It was noted that the previous owner of the home is now in prison.

CONFLICT

• A Division Street resident reported Jan. 6 that an automobile window had been smashed but nothing was taken. Due to recent conflicts, the victim named a probable suspect, a recent roommate, who later agreed to pay for the broken window.

ASSAULT

• Police responded at about 1:15 a.m. Jan. 4 to a reported assault at a Railroad Avenue business. Officers contacted all parties involved and arrested a woman for fourth-degree assault.

Buckley

DRUNK DAMSEL

• At 10:30 p.m. Friday, a woman was pulled over for a moving violation along state Route 410 and the officer noticed that she had been drinking. The vehicle was moved to a safe area and the female was transported to the Buckley jail to be processed for driving under the influence. The woman gave two breath samples and both were over the legal limit. She was booked for driving under the influence.

GRASS AND A GUN

• On the evening of Jan. 7 a car zipped past a Buckley squad car on Upper Cemetery Road, exceeding the speed limit. The officer pulled the car over and when he contacted the two males in the vehicle, he spotted a bag of marijuana and a firearm that was discovered to be loaded. Both subjects were arrested, cited and released at the scene.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF?

• About 10:30 p.m. Jan. 6, a call came from a business owner on Church Street in Wilkeson, reporting that the door window of the business had been hit by a rock and shattered. When the officer arrived he noted that the door was still secure, but that there was broken glass and a rock lying on the sidewalk in front of the door. There were no witnesses to the incident, but a picture of the destruction was taken and added to the case file, which has being sent to investigations.
