SENIOR ASSISTANCE

• A resident of the Wynalda Drive area called police about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, reporting that an elderly man was going house to house asking for directions and appeared lost. An officer responded, was able to get an address from the man’s identification and provided the man a ride to that address.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT

• An Almadon Avenue resident reported that on any school day at about 3:30 p.m. vehicles are driven recklessly through the area. The caller reported seeing side-by-side racing each day last week and noted the route is believed to be ignored by police. Extra patrol was suggested.

WELFARE CHECK

• A Thursday caller asked officers to check on the welfare of his children due to the condition of a Warner Avenue apartment where they live. An officer made contact and found the children to be healthy. The children’s mother reported having an earlier argument with the father, which may have prompted the report.

VEHICLE PROWL

• A Scandia Avenue resident notified police Nov. 12 that a vehicle prowl had just occurred. A neighbor had startled the suspects and they dropped items being taken from an automobile. The suspects were not found.

AUTO THEFT

• A call came through King County authorities who said a man had reported being assaulted by two men who stole his vehicle. He could not tell which way they left in his red, 1998 BMW, which was taken in the vicinity of 180th Avenue Southeast.

DISORDERLY

• Staff in the Enumclaw Regional Hospital emergency room asked for police help shortly before 1 a.m. Nov. 11. They were trying to restrain a man who had been delivered to the hospital and was becoming increasingly uncooperative. Enumclaw police assisted and, when the man was discharged, released him to the custody of Buckley officers.

THEFT OF MEDS

• A caller told police the morning of Nov. 10 that medications had been stolen from her purse, which was inside a vehicle parked on Bathke Avenue. She arrived at the police station later in the day to file a report.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

• Police heard Nov. 10 that a Lowell Avenue resident had been walking her dog when it was attacked and bitten by a dog running loose. The woman took her dog to a veterinarian and police later took a report to be filed with King County Animal Control.

DRUNK, SPEEDING

• At 1:30 a.m. Sunday a 36-year-old Bonney Lake man was pulled over for speeding. The subject was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving under the influence. He was issued an infraction for speeding, a criminal citation for DUI and was released to a sober adult.

DRUG OVERDOSE

• Officers responded to a Lincoln Avenue address a little after 5 a.m. Saturday to check on a suicidal man who was apparently suffering from a drug overdose. Officers conducted an area search for a man in his 40s who had fled the residence after taking an unknown quantity of prescription pills. Shortly after the search had begun, the subject busted through the door of the home, was evaluated by medical aid and was transported to the hospital.

WISE GUY

• A Buckley officer saw a man exit his vehicle on a wide shoulder of state Route 410 just east of the White River Bridge at 3 a.m. Nov. 12. When the officer asked the man to come over to him the man refused to do so. When the officer notified the subject that he was under arrest for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, the subject informed the officer that he couldn’t arrest him on that charge, because he didn’t have the key and there was no key in the ignition. The man was booked into the Buckley jail on the aforementioned charge after the officer noted the keys were hanging out of the passenger side window.
