Starting Tuesday, September 4, 2012, public and non-profit organizations are invited to submit proposals for support services to low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS in King, Snohomish and Island counties. The projected amount available in this competitive Request-for-Proposal (RFP) application process is approximately $6.1 million from March 1, 2013 through February 28, 2014.
Based on the needs assessment and prioritization processes conducted by the HIV/AIDS Planning Council and Public Health – Seattle & King County, funding will be awarded for the following care service categories:
Housing services $653,000
Medical case management $2,260,000
Medical nutrition therapy (including food/meals) $535,000
Mental health services $415,000
Medical transportation $25,000
Oral health care $590,000
Outpatient/ambulatory health services $907,000
Psychosocial support services $120,000
Substance abuse services (Outpatient) $373,000
Treatment adherence counseling $260,000

A Pre-Proposal Conference at which technical assistance in understanding and completing the application packet will be offered to agencies on Thursday, September 6, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at King Street Center, Rooms 2A/B, 201 South Jackson Street, Seattle. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.
