Puget Sound Energy on windstorm and power outages

It’s March madness: the third and strongest storm since the start of the month is in full force. We have opened all of our local storm bases and our emergency coordination center to assist with response efforts.

PSE statement on windstorm:

It’s March madness: the third and strongest storm since the start of the month is in full force. We have opened all of our local storm bases and our emergency coordination center to assist with response efforts.

• As of 5:30 p.m., approximately 177,481 customers are impacted. Power outages are system wide with the storm starting in the southern part of our service area and moving north.

• Safety is our top priority. Crews will respond as long as conditions allow. High winds will slow and possibly stop response and restoration efforts.

• Soils are saturated from heavy rains trees and branches have been weakened by the recent storms. This could cause additional damage and power outages.

• Never touch downed power lines because they may be energized. Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report problems.
