Stirling Radliff of Enumclaw was awarded first-place in the senior division of the statewide music composition adjudications sponsored by the Washington State Music Teachers Association.
His winning composition, “Woodwind Septet,” was performed by seven Northwest woodwind musicians June 22 at the Washington State Music Teachers convention in Olympia.
Radliff is presently a student at Green River Community College where he is editor of the opinion column of the campus newspaper, “The Current.” He studies music composition with Timothy Strong of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.
He is the son of Reginald Radliff of Enumclaw and Selene Odom of Puyallup, and the grandson of Duane and Dorothy Radliff of Enumclaw and Alvin Bjornstad of Puyallup.
