The East Pierce Volunteer Firefighters Association will be holding their annual “Halloween Bash” from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at East Pierce Fire and Rescue’s South Prairie Station 19, 350 SR 162 East.
This is a free event open to the public with loads of fun for kids of all ages.
This year will have many of the same fun and games from “Find the Candy in the Haystack” to “Hula-Hoop Pumpkin Toss.” There will also be pumpkins to paint, crafts to complete, and piñata’s to break.
The Scavenger Hunt, new at last year’s event, will also take place again, weather permitting.
Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and there will be plenty of candy and sweet treats for the little goblins to devour as well.
This is the fourth year the East Pierce VFA has hosted this event.
“We truly enjoy serving our citizens and hosting fun events like this for the kids.” said Vol. Captain and East Pierce VFA Vice-President Mark Nevill. “We hope to continue this tradition for years to come!”
The East Pierce VFA is made up of volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians who serve with East Pierce Fire and Rescue.
The VFA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that sponsors events throughout the fire district annually like the South Prairie Easter Egg Hunt and the Milton Pancake Feed. It also has a Scholarship Program that awards five college scholarships to area high school seniors each year. For more information, visit us at www.eastpiercevfa.org.
