The following is a press release issued Wednesday night by Enumclaw Fire/King County Fire District 28

This evening at about 7:15 pm, two vehicles collided at the intersection of 228th Ave SE and SE 448″ St in Enumclaw.

The driver of a sedan was transported to a local hospital for injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, an older model truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. Crews from King County Fire District 28, King County  One, King County Sheriffs office, and the Washington State Patrol were on the scene within minutes of the accident.

It is unknown at this time what caused the fatal crash; it is currently under investigation.
