At 9:38 a.m. Dec. 27, police took a report concerning geese being hunted in the city limits.

TRAFFIC HAZARD: Police were told Dec. 30 of a cable hanging to the road while still attached to a pole and house. Cones were placed to keep traffic away from the area at Nielson Avenue and Lafromboise Street. Comcast was notified and was sending a work crew.

BURGLARY: A burglary at a Washington Avenue address was reported at 11:36 a.m. Dec. 29. There were no immediate suspects. An investigation was planned.

WINDOW BROKEN: Police went to a Warner Avenue location the morning of Dec. 29 after learning a window had been broken. It did not appear entry was gained or anything was taken or damaged. Police were asked to provide additional patrol during evening hours.

SHATTERED: An officer took a report the morning of Dec. 29 regarding a back window that had been broken out of a vehicle. There were no suspects.

GOOSE ISSUE: At 9:38 a.m. Dec. 27, police took a report concerning geese being hunted in the city limits. Contact was made with a property owner who said his employees were attempting to scare off the birds with fireworks, in accordance with Environmental Protection Agency protocol for disease control.
