SHOTS REPORTED: A Farman Street resident called police shortly before 8 a.m. Nov. 25, reporting what appeared to be gunshots in the area of the transfer station. Officers checked the area and found nothing. Another report of gunshots came about an hour later. Police returned and found duck hunters; they were in an area where they could legally shoot.
COCUNTERFEIT: A clerk at a Roosevelt Avenue business discovered a counterfeit $100 bill on Nov. 25. There was no criminal intent and the customer provided information regarding where the bill was obtained. The customer was given information about reimbursement and the counterfeit bill was taken as evidence.
HIT AND RUN: An automobile struck a pedestrian at 11 a.m. Nov. 24 at the corner of Cole Street and Stevenson Avenue. The driver took off and the pedestrian, who was not hurt, was unable to obtain license plate details. There were no immediate suspects, but authorities were looking for a white Jeep with a black top.
TWO ARRESTED: Officers responded at 12:44 a.m. Nov. 23 to a Griffin AVenue location where a fight had broken out; police were told one subject had a firearm. Two suspects were arrested, cited and released.
TENANTS CONCERNED: Management of a Watson Street complex told police Nov. 22 multiple tenants reported a man and woman were going door-to-door attempting to gain entry into individual apartments. The suspects were out after dark, did not appear to be selling anything and tried to immediately step into apartments. Police were given descriptions of the two and were to provide extra patrol.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Police learned of a domestic violence incident in progress at 11:17 a.m. Nov. 22 at a Griffin Avenue address. Officers made contact with both parties; both were booked into the city jail.
GUNSHOT WOUND: A man with a gunshot wound to his leg was dropped off at 1:24 p.m. Nov. 21 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Enumclaw police responded and waited until a King County deputy arrived. The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
MANY CHARGES: Police responded at 5:05 p.m. Nov. 21 to the vicinity of Washington Street and Porter Avenue after hearing of a vehicle parked in the lane of travel. The vehicle was gone and the Washington State Patrol noted a trooper had told the driver to leave. About 10 minutes later, a city officer spotted the vehicle and driver at Cole Street and Griffin Avenue. The driver had exited the auto, which was blocking traffic. The driver was arrested and booked for disorderly conduct, failure to obey and officer and resisting arrest. The vehicle was impounded.
SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT: While looking for a suspicious subject at 9 p.m. Nov. 21 on Jewell Street, police came across an individual. Investigation resulted in the suspect being arrested and booked for criminal trespass and malicious mischief.
