SMELLS LIKE A DUI: Officers were driving down Veterans Memorial Drive on Jan. 24 when the noticed the smell of burning marijuana coming from the car ahead of them. The driver was also unable to maintain a constant speed or stay in his lane. The driver was arrested, cited and searched, and the car was towed. Blood was later drawn and the man driven home.

STOLEN BATTERIES, PART III: A theft of camper batteries was reported on Jan. 24. Officers investigated a string of battery thefts in December and eventually arrested and charged the male responsible. Officers believe this incident is related to that case and information was fprwarded to the Prosecutor’s office for consideration of additional charges.
