BOOKED FOR THEFT: Police were called at 12:34 a.m. Aug. 4 due to a shoplifting incident at a Roosevelt Avenue location. A vehicle was identified and a suspect was taken into custody and booked for theft. A second subject was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license. Both were ordered to keep away from the business.
STOLEN PROPERTY: A city resident contacted police Aug. 3, explaining that her son has admitted to stealing property around the Enumclaw to fund his heroin addiction. None of the stolen property was at the home, but the suspect said he usually takes items to pawn shops. The mother reportedly tried to get her son to enter a rehabilitation facility but he was unwilling. The son was not at home and could not be located.
PROPERTY MISSING: A woman told police Aug. 3 personal items were missing after she moved from a rural address and some of her belongings were taken to a storage unit. A computer, Comcast equipment and prescription medications were reported missing. She was advised to contact the moving company and to complete an inventory of all property at the storage facility to confirm items had been stolen or simply misplaced.
