The Washington State Patrol (WSP) will be holding applicant testing for the position of Trooper Cadet on November 15, 2014. Applicants with a desire to be a Washington State Trooper should come prepared to complete a physical agility test and written examination.

“Are you are looking to make difference, now is the time to see if you have what it takes,” says Trooper Bennie Taylor, recruiter for the agency’s southwest region. The WSP is seeking to fill hundreds of trooper vacancies state wide.

The WSP accepts applications through their online website only. After the application is submitted, applicants are e-mailed a confirmation with a testing date. Those wishing to test at the November 15th testing date must pre-register. Walk-in applicants will not be allowed to test.

The morning will begin with a physical agility test. Applicants should arrive dressed in appropriate attire to complete the following:

One minute sit-up test

One minute push-up test

One and one half mile run

Applicants who complete the physical agility test within the requirements will advance to a written examination after a short break. Physical requirements can be found online.
