SPRAY PAINT: Officers were called on Nov. 1 to a report of malicious mischief. The reporting party told officers he observed a male subject spray painting his neighbor’s cars. Officers contacted the neighbor to tell him of the damage to the cars. The neighbor believe the paint would come off, because the rain didn’t allow it to dry.
HIT AND RUN: On Nov. 1 officers were contacted after a hit and run on SR 410. The reporting party told officers that she was driving on the highway when a van pulled in front of her and she was not able to stop in time. Her car and the van amde contact, which nearly pulled off her car’s bumper. Both she and the driver of the van pulled to the side of the highway but the van never stopped and turned off the highway. The reporting party had a picture of the van’s license plate. Officers located the driver of the van, who explained he did not know the reporting party’s car hit his van. The driver said he pulled to the side of the highway, but didn’t stop because he didn’t feel it was safe. Instead, he drove off the highway and waited for the other car to follow him. Officers explained to the driver that a criminal citation would be forwarded to the prosecutor.
