State Route 164 remains closed due to a downed power line.
The highway is closed both ways at Marion Street.
Workers on scene said the main line came down around 6 a.m.; it’s unclear when the road will open.
Former rangers Alex Ross and Cameron Schmodt say trail clearing, bathroom pumping, and trash collecting efforts will now be extremely limited inside the nearby national forest.
“This looks like it might be the new normal,” said Chris Anderson, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
A community committee and the district has identified 32 “critical” maintenance projects that needs to be tackled in the near future.
