All persons in the police blotter are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

HOMICIDE WARRANT: After hearing of a suspicious vehicle parked at 4:35 a.m. Aug. 16 in the vicinity of North Third Street and Dundass Avenue, police contacted a 28-year-old man from Enumclaw and 33-year-old man from Tukwila. The two reported they were out of gas and waiting for a third person to arrive with fuel. The 28-year-old was found to have multiple arrest warrants out of California; the man was arrested and first taken to the Enumclaw jail, then moved to the Pierce County jail to await extradition. It was later learned the man had lied about his name, but was still being held due to an outstanding California arrest warrant for homicide.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A Pasco, Wash., resident told police Aug. 16 that someone had entered a secured area of Glacier Middle School and broken into his work truck and trailer. The case was awaiting completion of a list of missing items.

NONE INJURED: At 5:39 a.m. Aug. 15, Buckley officers responded to a vehicle collision at state Route 410 and Chamberlain Road. It was determined no one was hurt and both vehicles were towed from the scene. One driver was determined to be at fault and was issued an infraction for following too closely.

THREE CHARGES: While on patrol the afternoon of Aug. 15, an officer stopped a motorist for a traffic violation. It was found the driver, a man from Kelso, Wash., was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. He was cited for the invalid license and also received citations for failure to stop and failure to provide proof of insurance. His vehicle was released at the scene to a licensed driver.
