STOLEN PLATE MIX-UP: Officers performed a felony stop on May 14 after a record check on a car revealed the plates were stolen out of Seattle in April. Officers removed the driver from the vehicle and placed him in handcuffs, but another record check revealed he was the correct owner of the car. Officers checked the front of the car, which displayed the stolen plates while the back of the car displayed the updated plate. Officers took possession of the plate that was reported as stolen.

CAR THEFT AND RECOVERY: Officers were called May 20 to a report of a stolen car. Two days later, officers on the graveyard shift saw the car parked in a store parking lot. The plates and ignition were intact and the owner was contacted. The keys to the car, which were taken with the car, were missing. The owner told officers it didn’t look like anything was missing besides the keys.
