The Sumner School District will be hosting Beyond High School Night from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, Nov. 6 at Bonney Lake High School.
This event will provide an opportunity to research local colleges and universities in addition to providing information on scholarships and financial aid.
The focus of the fair is to provide information to students from training, educational and volunteer organizations located within and outside the state of Washington. Over 50 major universities, technical and community colleges, trade schools, apprenticeships, companies and organizations are represented.
Seniors will have an opportunity to connect with institutions of their choice for post-high school preparation and ninth through 11th grade students will be able to use this experience for exploratory purposes.
By attending this event and providing evidence of doing so, all students will be able to satisfy one of the future planning requirements of their Culminating Portfolio and graduation.
This fall event has been very popular throughout its history, drawing 750 or more students, parents and community members from the school district and surrounding areas.
In addition to the main fair, there will be classroom sessions about financial aid, community scholarship, college athletics and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and admission information from some of the biggest colleges in Washington and the military.
