Sumner library will host block play for young children | Pierce County Library

Building with blocks develops a child’s math and science skills during playtime. Parents and caregivers are invited to bring children to a block party and build, talk, explore and create together.

Playing with blocks will help children develop learning skills during free events at Pierce County Libraries. The Pierce County Library Foundation sponsors these free events.

Building with blocks develops a child’s math and science skills during playtime. Parents and caregivers are invited to bring children to a block party and build, talk, explore and create together.

Sumner Pierce County Library is one of seven libraries hosting block play. Sessions are Saturday Jan. 26 at 1 p.m., Tuesday Feb. 26 at 4 p.m., Tuesday March 26 4 p.m., Saturday April 27 at 1 p.m., Saturday May 11 at 1 p.m., and Saturday June 1 at 1 p.m. The Sumner library is located at 1116 Fryar Avenue.

Block play sessions will also be hosted at the Fife, Gig Harbor, Key Center, Lakewood, Parkland/Spanaway and South Hill Pierce County Libraries. Please contact those locations for their times and dates.
