Sumner Middle School, the latest campus to be renovated under the school district’s ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ campaign, will ceremonially open tonight.
The ribbon will be cut at 4:45 p.m., with a dedication happening shortly afterward at 5:30 p.m., in conjunction with a reception for the year’s retiring teachers.
A school district board of directors meeting will follow at 6 p.m. The board will hear reports on McAlder Elementary’s closure and the alternative high school program presently under development. The board will also examine new textbooks for possible adoption.
