Sumner Middle School opened its doors to the general public last night to show off its new face.
School district officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception to display renovations on the campus and recognized the people who made the overhaul possible.
Representatives were on hand from the Ed Specs Committee, Construction Management, Citizens for Education Committee, BLRB Architects, Berschauer Phillips Construction, BCE Engineers, Warner Engineering, PCS Structural Solutions, and Weisman Design Group.
Principal Steve Sjolund also recognized students for their attitude and performance during construction.
“Test scores actually went up during construction,” he said.
