Sumner School District Superintendent Gil Mendoza today sent a letter to staff informing them of his intention to leave his position at the end of the month.
June 30 will be his last day at the helm of the district.
In his letter Mendoza said his views and the views of the school board are no longer aligned. Mendoza said more information about his announcement would be available after this evening’s meeting of the Sumner Board of Directors.
Mendoza was hired in 2007 to replace Donald Eismann.
