Sumner’s third annual Rhubarb Days, now part of the summer-long Rhubarb Pie Festival, takes place Saturday and Sunday in Heritage Park.

On Saturday, the festivities begin with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10:45 a.m., and a children’s farming parade is tentatively scheduled for 9:30 a.m. The Community Bake-Off will begin at 11 a.m.
Kids will be able to participate in a variety of ongoing games, have their photo taken on a tractor, or get up close and personal with animals in the petting zoo.
Adults looking to kick back will be able to hang out in the festival beer garden from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Music will be performed throughout the day by the Will Power Band, John Hoover and the Quinns, Hillbilly Soul Strutters, and 5 Live.
On Sunday, the Rhubarb Pie Eating Contest will be held at 11 a.m. Musical act Scott and Dani will take the stage from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Local historians will be able to take tours of the Ryan House on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday night before Rhubarb Days, Music Off Main will continue in Heritage Park with a performance by the Great Pretenders, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
