A vehicle hit a telephone pole Sunday morning, Feb. 5, near Enumclaw on 244th Avenue Southeast.
Firefighters from the Enumclaw Fire Department found the a patient in the cargo area of the vehicle.
Fire Chief Randy Fehr wrote in a message, “the extrication was pretty involved, complicated by the proximity to running water. Our patient was found in the rear cargo area of the vehicle in water.”
The individual was transported to Harborview Medical Center by emergency vehicle. Due to the weather the airlift helicopter was grounded according to Fehr.
Assisting the fire department was King County Medic One and Mountain View Fire and Rescue.
