Telephone scam for $100 gift card | Enumclaw Police

A city resident told police Sept. 23 of an attempted telephone scam. The resident was told she would receive a $100 Walmart gift card.

SCAM ATTEMPT: A city resident told police Sept. 23 of an attempted telephone scam. The resident was told she would receive a $100 Walmart gift card; all she had to do was provide her credit card information so a $6 handling could be collected.

EMERGENCY ROOM: After hearing of someone causing a disturbance, officers responded to the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital shortly after 9 p.m. Sept. 23. The individual in question was provided a ride home.

STREAKER: An officer happened to be at St. Elizabeth Hospital a minute before midnight Sept. 23 when a streaker was spotted. Police located the individual, who had been drinking. Hospital staff chose not to press charges.

SCHOOL ISSUE: An officer responded the morning of Sept. 23 to Kibler Elementary after hearing of an irate parent at the school. The situation had calmed, but a school official wanted an officer standing by during the contact with the parent.
