The 19th Annual Community Summit will be held tomorrow, 3 to 8:30 p.m., at Calvary Community Church in Sumner.
The Summit, a forum for family, health and social issues on the plateau and in the valley below, is hosted by the Sumner/Bonney Lake Communities for Families Coalition.
The evening schedule is as follows:
• 3 to 4:45 p.m. Pre-Summit Session
“The Heart of the Matter: Health as a Priority,” features Loren Willson and the PEP Grant All-Stars as they teach you how movement and fitness can prevent health failure.
• 5 to 6 p.m. Breakout Groups
Sessions include “Get to Know Your Neighbor!,” “Why Should Fitness Be a Priority?,” “Where’s the Bus?,” “It’s Tough To Find Affordable Housing,” and “Bonney Lake Wants Kids’ Advice.”
• 6 to 8:30 p.m. Unsung Hero Awards
Learn about the community’s givers while enjoying a complimentary dinner. Followed with a Keynote speech by Sumner High Leadership class instructor John Norlin.
All Community Summit events are entirely free of charge. Calvary Community Church is located at 15116 Gary Street in Sumner.
