TRIED TO RUN: On Jan. 4 officers checked the license plate of a car to find the driver had a suspended license. Officers activated their lights as the car pulled into a driveway and a man exited the car. Officers told the man to remain in the car, but he became argumentative and started walking to the residence. Officers followed the man, who started to run for the door. Officers grabbed the man and took him to the ground was was able to arrest him. He was cited for resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license, and explained the new vehicle impound policy in Bonney Lake, which was to impound cars of drivers who were caught driving with a suspended license. The car was not impounded that day.
ROAD RAGE: Officers were alerted to a road rage incident on Jan. 4. The reporting party said a young driver was cut him off several times, slammed on his breaks, threw something at his car that damaged the side mirror, spit on the car and tried to fight him. The young driver said the reporting party was the one who started the fight, but admitted he threw a quarter at the car and asked the reporting party to fight. The young driver was cited for malicious mischief.
