A house on Tacoma Point Drive near Lake Tapps has been severely damage after a fire started yesterday, March 17.
A neighbor called East Pierce Fire and Rescue at 4:15 p.m., and crews arrived to the house that was already halfway engulfed in flames.
The occupant of the house was able to get out of the house before crews arrived.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, said Assistant Chief Russ McCallion, but it seems as if the fire started on the roof and could have been caused by electrical wires.
Two firefighters received minor injuries when they entered the house and were evaluated at a local hospital.
